Membership Directory - Each member receives a free listing on the Chamber website. This includes an entire page of information about your business including your logo, photos, and a detailed description on all your business or organization has to offer. It also allows you to post discount offers, special events, and post job openings. Our Chamber management software, ChamberMaster, allows you to log on and update all of your information at your convenience.
Regional Directory - Our Chamber is a member of the Greater Des Moines Partnership, a regional affiliation of 21 other Chamber’s of Commerce in Central Iowa. Special Events and Mixers - Whether it’s a Monthly Breakfast, an Open House, or Business After Hours, these popular membership mixers gives members the opportunity to meet, exchange business cards, and talk business in a relaxed social atmosphere. Some events feature special business related topics such as leadership, marketing, and customers service that are helpful to our Newton business leaders.

Ribbon Cuttings and Milestone Celebrations - New members receive assistance in planning their ribbon cutting ceremony and open house. Existing members can enjoy the benefit of the having the Chamber assist them in celebrating a business anniversary or milestone.
Referrals - Hundreds of referrals are made each year to Chamber businesses through website listings and office solicitations.
Special Committees - The Chamber of Commerce hosts several events each year that benefit our membership and the community of Newton. These events and community programs provide opportunities for business exposure and a sense of community involvement.
Membership Listing & Mailing Labels - Available to members, at no cost, providing a valuable tool for direct mail promotions. (for non solicitation purposes).
Bulk Mail - Our bulk permit is available to members for significant savings on promotional mailings
Meeting Room - Free use of the meeting room in the Chamber office. We have a small meeting room downstairs which comfortably seats up to 14.
Ambassadors - Our Chamber Ambassadors are key in recruiting new chamber members and making sure the existing members are making the most of their Chamber membership. They function as the hospitality arm of the Chamber helping members feel welcomed, connected, and informed. The Ambassadors meet on the third Thursday of each month, at noon. They play a key role in planning the Annual Golf Outing, 4th of July Parade and the year-end Member Thank You and Christmas Social. Ambassadors also attend the Ribbon Cuttings, Business After Hours, Ground Breakings, Open Houses, and other community events.
Chamber Breakfast Mixers - A Networking Breakfast is held from 7:00 – 8:30 a.m. on the 2nd Thursday most months. The program features business relevant topics and speakers plus a chance to network with fellow chamber members. There are also sponsorship opportunities for these popular events. Chamber breakfast are currently free of charge to Chamber Members
Chamber Coffee, Open House, or Business after Hours - These events allow members to showcase their business and provide an opportunity for Chamber Members to network and socialize.
Fourth of July Parade and Celebration - One of Newton’s largest community celebration and the Chamber’s largest volunteer opportunity. Committee members are needed to stage the parade entries as well as assist with the downtown vendors, publicity and clean up in the afternoon.
Education - This committee will help plan the New Teachers Luncheon held annually to celebrate the new educators and the school administration in the Newton school system. We also explore other ways that the business community can support our schools.
Lighted Christmas Festival - The festival is always held annually on the Friday after Thanksgiving. The event follows the Annual Jasper County Courthouse Lighting and is a community favorite. The leadership committee for this popular event is responsible for recruiting entries, finding interested sponsors and staging the event.
Internet Link - A free website link to www.experiencenewton.com is available to all chamber members. There are over 1 million hits to the website annually. You can also place our Chamber Link on your website with our exclusive Membership Logo.
