Ambassadors Our Chamber Ambassadors provide leadership and personnel to initiate and support special projects as they may be designated by the Chamber Board which is a benefit to the Chamber and support of its goals and objectives. The Ambassadors meet on the third Thursday of each month, at noon. They are responsible for planning & attending the Ribbon Cuttings, Business After Hours, Ground Breakings, Open Houses, and other community events. Ambassadors are also instrumental in recruiting new chamber members and making sure the existing members are making the most of their Chamber membership.
Chamber Breakfast Mixers - A Breakfast Mixer is held from 7:00 - 8:30 a.m. on the 2nd Thursday most months. The program features business relevant topics and speakers plus a chance to network with fellow chamber members. There are also sponsorship opportunities for these popular events.
Chamber Coffee, Open House, or Business after Hours - These events allow members to showcase their business and provide an opportunity for Chamber Members to network and socialize. There are usually at least one or two per month.
Fourth of July Parade and Celebration Newton’s largest community celebration and the Chamber’s largest volunteer opportunity. Committee members are needed to stage the parade entries as well as assist with the downtown vendors, publicity and clean up in the afternoon.
Education - This committee will help plan the New Teachers Luncheon held annually to celebrate the new educators and the school administration in the Newton school system.
Lighted Christmas Parade - The parade is always held on the Friday after Thanksgiving. The event revolves around the Annual Courthouse Lighting. The leadership committee for this popular event is responsible for recruiting entries, finding interested sponsors and staging the event.
